Delivering a local, flexible and responsive service is the ethos of the Southern team. As the founding region we have seen a huge amount of change over the years, but one thing remains unchanged, our desire to provide our clients with certainty of funding in good times as well as bad.
As a region, we continue to have a positive outlook with a healthy momentum in new business. A 16% increase in clients over the last 12 months brings our client portfolio to over 350 clients, who benefit from £36m of funding. We are proud of our achievement in what is an increasingly competitive market and we believe our success is founded on the strong and personal relationships we build with our clients. As the founding office for the business we have many long-term clients who really do see us as integral to their business and their continued success.
Our success is built on our reputation for delivering fast and flexible cashflow solutions providing both funding and sales ledger management services. But it is our team that make the difference. We have over 40 southern team members based out of our Group Head Office in the Thames Valley, which is growing all the time as we continue to service more clients. It is their passion and dedication to giving their clients the best in client service that earns us our strong reputation and our high satisfaction levels.
We continue to invest in our sales team as we look to expand our presence in the region to deliver the right solution as and when our clients need it and as such were delighted that Emma Roberts and Chris Falby joined the team recently. We also recently opened a new office in Reading to give us that all important base in the Region and to improve our accessibility to our network of introducers who provide such a valuable service to their clients.
Our focus moving forward is to successfully grow the business by investing in and expanding our sales team supported by knowledgeable, committed and enthusiastic client management teams. The relationships with our intermediaries remain important to us as the link to SMEs looking to access a flexible source of funding to support their business.
